Foster Care Mom Adopts 6th child
After adopting 5 children this foster mother adopted her 6th child.
One foster care mother was certainly not a stranger to caring for children; she had adopted and gained custody of five children. When she received a phone call to care for the sixth child, she had been grieving from a recent miscarriage. She decided to take the beautiful baby girl who would have been the same age as the child she had lost. This child was born HIV positive, but her foster mother gave her the extra medical care that she required along with extra tender love and care that she also so freely shared with all of her children. Her foster family and agency workers celebrated the day when it was determined that the child was no longer HIV positive. During visits to the home, the caseworkers could not help but notice and appreciate the connection that the foster mother had with the baby girl. They laughed and giggled with each other and the child was showered with love. When parental rights were terminated, the foster mother had no doubts that she was interested in adoption. After two years in care, the child gained a mother and five siblings. After two years in care, her foster mother adopted her sixth bundle of joy who came into her life at the perfect time!
